Ukrainian-born Australian conductor and artistic director Vladimir Fanshil works across orchestral, operatic and independently produced projects in Europe and Australia. Based in Vienna, he is known for a collaborative rehearsal process, vivid musical storytelling and an instinct for the relationship between artists and audiences.
From 2024–2026, Fanshil served as Resident Conductor of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR) in Katowice and now returns as a guest conductor. In 2026 he conducted Dvořák’s Rusalka for Opera Queensland with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Other engagements have included Opera Australia, The Australian Ballet, the Luxembourg Philharmonic and Mariinsky Orchestra.
Fanshil is co-founder and Artistic Director of Live at Yours, the Australian concert organisation he established with soprano Eleanor Lyons. Since 2020 it has presented more than 300 concerts across four states, bringing international artists and audiences together in intimate and unexpected spaces.
